No. 5 Cleveland Cavaliers – Obi Toppin, Dayton Forward

After selecting guards in back to back lotteries, the Cavs get perhaps the drafts biggest riser in Obi Toppin.

Few, if any players have had a better start to this college basketball season than Dayton’s Obi Toppin. The sophomore forward has been the Flyer’s best players and has played his way to the top of draft boards.

Toppin has legit NBA size at six-foot-nine and 220 pounds and he posses an exceptional blend of shooting and athleticism.

Toppin’s body and style of play are tailor-made for the new age style of play in the NBA. For the Cleveland Cavaliers, Toppin can give them exactly what they need.

The Cavs have loaded up on guards stockpiling Collin Sexton, Darius Garland, and Kevin Porter Jr. across the past two drafts. Selecting Toppin would give the Cavs a legit wing presence to build around.

If he harnesses all of his potential and keeps working, Toppin has a chance to be one of the best players in this draft and a future star moving forward.
