10. South Florida Bulls (Prior Ranking: 9)

Everyone knew South Florida wasn’t going to be as good without Alexis Yetna but they have been very poor to start the season. At 7-6 the Bulls have really struggled in some of their games, they were able to keep a close game against Florida State and beat Florida Atlantic, maybe that will help them turn the corner after their sluggish start.

South Florida is one of the best defending teams in the country averaging 61.1 ppg which should allow them to be in a lot of games but they have to figure out how to put more points up. That’s something that Alexis Yetna would have really helped with.

Outside of David Collins and Laquincy Rideau, the Bulls don’t have a lot of options to go to get a basket when they need one. They’ll open up with SMU.

9. Tulsa Golden Hurricanes (Prior Rank: 10)

Tulsa looks improved from last year but they’ve dropped four of their last five. A tough wrap up to their non-conference schedule saw them with a chance to get a big road win against Kansas State. Tulsa got up a shot for the win that didn’t fall and so Tulsa sits at 8-5.

Brandon Rachal leads Tulsa with 14.5 points per game, Darien Jackson has really stepped up his game in his junior year. There’s a lot of veterans on this roster with a lot of experience. Tulsa will open conference play with Temple.
