NCAA Basketball: Best conference games to watch of 2019-20 season

ACC

Just as it is every year, the ACC is once again one of the best NCAA basketball conferences. This suggests that it will have plenty of great matchups to offer. Picking the best ACC games is rather difficult due to the fact that anybody can wake up and turn any game that seems like a dud into one of the best games of the year. Considering who has played well so far and who might get things going in the right direction, here are the best ACC matchups.

6) North Carolina vs. Duke (2/8, 3/7)

If UNC finds a rhythm offensively Cole Anthony is completely healthy, then expect a good game in Chapel Hill. Sure, UNC, has not been playing the best, but they could very easily wake up behind a strong performance from their star player.

5) Virginia vs. Duke (2/29)

That Virginia defense is something special. It will be exciting to see how it fares against this young and talented Duke squad in John Paul Jones Arena in late February.

4) Virginia vs. Louisville (2/8, 3/7)

Here is another chance to see how Virginia plays against one of the best teams in the country. Expect plenty of defense from the Cavaliers once again. This has the makings to be chippy and a thriller.

3) Duke vs. Florida State (2/10)

Florida State has looked impressive and has been a pleasant surprise so far. Let’s see how they handle a trip to Cameron Indoor. I think the Blue Devils will take this contest, but expect the experienced backcourt of Florida State to give them plenty of issues.

2) Louisville vs. Florida State (1/4, 2/24)

These games are intriguing because of the contrast of styles. Florida State will have the upper hand in the backcourt, while Jordan Nwora and the Louisville frontcourt will be a tough test for the Seminoles. I could see these two squads splitting games, with the home team winning each contest.

1) Duke vs. Louisville (1/18)

As of right now, it looks like these two are the best in the ACC. We will find out which one is actually the top dog in the league in this battle at Cameron Indoor.
