The Top Three Players for the Spartans and Wolverines

Big Ten Player of the year leading candidate Cassius Winston is averaging 17.8 Points, 2.2 Rebounds, and a remarkable 6.1 Assists per game. Helping him lead the offense for the Michigan State is Junior Xavier Tillman who is averaging 13.5 Points, 9.7 Rebounds, and 2.9 Assists per game. Another top player for the Spartans is Sophomore Aaron Henry who is averaging 10.5 Points, 4.2 Rebounds, and 3.2 Assists per game. These three Spartans are the key to winning the fourth straight game for Michigan State over the Wolverines.

Michigan has three players of their own who are considered their top-producing players. The Wolverines star player is Senior Zavier Simpson who is averaging 11.2 Points, 4.5 Rebounds, and  8.9 assists per game. Providing Senior leadership is Jon Teske who is averaging 14.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game. Another key player for the Wolverines is Isaiah Livers who is averaging 13.6 Points, 3.3 Rebounds, and 1.1 Assists. However, he is doubtful for the game on Jan. 5th due to a groin injury. All three players have been driving forces in the Wolverine’s early-season success.

Both teams need their star players to shine and produce and lead and set a good example for the young less experienced especially in rivalry games such as these.  The veterans of both Michigan and Michigan State will determine who wins in this rivalry.
