1. Gonzaga Bulldogs (18-1, 4-0) NET: 7

Gonzaga struggled a bit during the opening weekend of WCC play.  The Bulldogs trailed in the second half both at Portland in the opener and at home to Pepperdine.

The Zags then took care of business on the road with easy wins over San Diego and Loyola Marymount.  The bottom line is that Gonzaga is 4-0 and a game and a half ahead of the rest of the field.

Gonzaga is still ranked #1 in adjusted offensive efficiency at a rate of 116.0 and scoring offense at 87.8 ppg.  The Bulldogs are also ranked #2 in effective field goal percentage and have the fifth-lowest turnover percentage.  Defensively, Gonzaga is #52 in adjusted efficiency.

Center Filip Petrusev and his 16.6 ppg and 7.9 rpg lead the way for the Zags.  Corey Kispert adds 14.1 ppg, Killian Tillie with 12.2 ppg, Joel Ayayi 10.9 ppg, Ryan Woolridge 10.5 ppg, and Admon Gilder 10.4 ppg.

Gonzaga has an important homestand this week as they host Santa Clara on Thursday and BYU on Saturday.  However, the Zags should be able to march through the rest of January without a loss.  Expect the rest of the West Coast Conference to continue to beat each other up the rest of the season.
