1. Kira Lewis is the Real Deal

This wasn’t a takeaway from just the win over Auburn, if you’ve watched any Alabama game over the past two seasons, you would know Kira Lewis is the real deal, but for those of you that haven’t, you now know just how good Lewis is.

On Wednesday night, the sophomore guard was the game’s leading scorer as he went for 25 points along with three rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block, ultimately helping the Crimson Tide get their first win over a ranked opponent this season.

This season, Lewis has been averaging an impressive 16.8 points (6th in the SEC), 5.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists (7th in the SEC) and 1.8 steals per game (5th in the SEC).

Lewis is Alabama’s leader in points, assists and steals per game, while also shooting 43.4% from the field, 80.7% from the free throw line and 32.9% from beyond the three-point arc.

Lewis is playing himself into the SEC player-of-the-year conversation and if he keeps it up he could be a first-round pick come June.

The fact that he is in the top-10 in three different categories of SEC players is pretty astonishing and because of it the Tide look to be a team capable of making some noise, not only in the SEC but also on the national level.

Lewis has combined for 35 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and two blocks over the past two games against Kentucky and Auburn.

The fact that he has put up numbers like these against arguably Alabama’s two best opponents so far this season is just a sign of what’s to come and it shows that on the biggest stage, Lewis shows up and puts his team in a good position to win.
