player. 478. . . . St. John's Red Storm. 8

St. John’s has started conference play at just 1-4 but it had its chances against both Butler and Providence to come away with solid wins. Nonetheless, the Red Storm dropped both of those games and their lone conference win to date came at home over DePaul. Still, I am a believer that this team will at least make life difficult for every opponent that it faces. St. John’s might not be the most talented or successful team in the conference, but it brings a ton of pressure and plays with heart.

Head coach Mike Anderson has quickly instilled his system and the roster has completely bought in. St. John’s has started slow in conference play but it has been entertaining to watch the effort that the team puts on a game-by-game basis.

Additionally, it is important to mention that the Red Storm’s NCAA Tournament hopes have not been completely thrown out the window. Due to how great their home victory over West Virginia has matured (and to a much lesser extent the W over Arizona), the Red Storm are not out of the bubble conversation. In order to keep those hopes alive, St. John’s needs to perform well over the rest of the conference season.

A home matchup against Seton Hall approaches next and that would be a massive win before embarking on a two-game road trip to face Marquette and DePaul.
