Wisconsin started this season very slowly with just a 5-5 (1-1 B10) record and recorded a few questionable losses along the way. Over the past few weeks, though, the Badgers have looked like a much different team. Micah Potter joining the fray has been huge but Kobe King is also starting to take a major leap. Wisconsin has won six of its last seven games, including victories over Ohio State/Penn State/Maryland to get to this point. Three of the Badgers’ next four (and 5 of 8) games will come on the road.

Virginia Tech, though, has been one of the nation’s biggest surprises throughout this season. Many expected that the Hokies would be rebuilding in Year 1 under head coach Mike Young but that does not appear to be the case. The ACC is a bit down this season but Virginia Tech appears poised to compete for an at-large bid that very few could have expected. The Hokies have won seven of their last eight games and sit at 13-4 (4-2 ACC) on the season. Their neutral-site win over Michigan State will look great come March.
