. . . Louisville Cardinals. 8. player. 438

Louisville is currently in the midst of a spectacular four-game winning streak with each of the last three coming on the road. Winning away-from-home has been a challenge for just about every team in the country this season and the Cardinals’ ability to rattle off three road wins over Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, and Duke was remarkably impressive. Louisville more than deserves a return to the Top 10 following that stretch – there’s no doubt about that.

Louisville entered this season with high expectations of being able to compete for the national title but disappointed a bit over the first month and a half. Now, though, the Cardinals appear to be right where many expected. They are sitting right near the top of the conference standings with a 15-3 (6-1 ACC) record and all three of their losses have come against teams likely to be included in the AP poll.

Defense has led the way for this squad throughout most of the season but its offense has picked up its play as of late as well. Jordan Nwora has been a constant scoring threat since the opening tip of the campaign but he is now getting more help on that end. David Johnson, perhaps most notably, has scored in double-figures in Louisville’s last two games while looking like a legit threat at the point guard slot.

Dwayne Sutton also continues to be a solid secondary or tertiary role for every game.
