21. Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks

2019-20 record: 16-3 (7-1 in Southland)

Since the loss to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, the Lumberjacks have since won three straight. But two of them came down to the wire, with Stephen F. Austin needing all 40 minutes to get by both Central Arkansas and Northwestern State. The concerning part is that those are two of the bottom teams in the Southland, while the Lumberjacks have still yet to face Sam Houston State, Nicholls State and Abilene Christian. Those upcoming games will determine how good this team really is in the Southland.

20. Colgate Raiders

2019-20 record: 15-5 (6-1 in Patriot League)

Although the Raiders lost their first conference game to Lafayette, Colgate exercised a major demon by beating traditional Patriot League powerhouse Bucknell earlier this week. Jordan Burns (23 points), continues to be the frontrunner for Conference Player of the Year. The Raiders will get a chance to avenge their loss to Lafayette next week, along with an important matchup against No. 2 American as well.

19. Saint Louis Billikens

2019-20 record: 14-5 (3-3 in Atlantic 10)

The Billikens let a major opportunity slip from their hands last week, giving up a double-digit lead in the second half at home against Dayton, ultimately falling in overtime. They followed that up with a 12-point loss on the road at Davidson, which in the preseason wouldn’t have been a bad loss; but since they’re under .500… yikes. The schedule does get much easier for Saint Louis in the next couple of weeks, but their at-large hopes have all but faded unless they can get Dayton on the road later.
