4. Villanova Wildcats

Surprise surprise, the king is back (kind of). After ranking outside the top 20 in Watchability for the first time in 4 years last season, the Wildcats are back among the elite most watchable teams. Having to adjust his offense last year to fit his personnel, Coach Jay Wright has the pieces again to run the spread-motion offense that has brought him two titles this last half-decade.

After ranking outside the top 100 in 3 Point rate last year, the ‘Cats are back inside the top 20 in that category and also inside the top 60 in both Assists per FGM and Effective FG%. They’re also back to their High IQ play, taking care of the basketball (45th in Turnover %) and keeping opposing teams off the Free Throw line (21st in Foul %).

Nova still isn’t up to par defensively as the two teams that won titles (rank 240th in defensive watchability), but their high octane/efficient offense has been able to keep them afloat this far. Even with their struggles defensively, Wright’s offense is so beautiful to watch and their style of play is appealing to all types of basketball fans.
