6. Florida State (19-3, 9-2) at Duke (18-3, 8-2) – Mon, Feb 10

With there being a wide-gap between the top-3 teams in the ACC and everyone else, the matchups between them (Duke, Florida State and Louisville) will have a massive impact both in Bracketology and the regular-season title race. While the Seminoles have another game against the Cardinals coming up, this is the last big matchup for the Blue Devils until the conference tournament.

This is a potential “must-win” for Duke if they want to make the case for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. As for Florida State, they’ll need a win to remain among the top-4 protected seeds as well. We haven’t had many great matchups on Mondays in college basketball so it’ll be great to have a couple of top-10 Final Four threats battling it out.

5. Baylor (20-1, 9-0) at Texas (14-8, 4-5) – Mon, Feb 10

This isn’t really about Baylor, who has a firm grasp on the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament currently and will have to drop a few games to not have that spot. It’s more about Texas, who is running out of opportunities to get a quality win having just lost at Kansas on Monday night.

With a NET ranking past 60 and just a win over Purdue as their lone quality win on the resume, the Longhorns are in real trouble and must get this win at home over the No. 1 team in the country. If they can’t get this win, then head coach Shaka Smart may have to update his resume this offseason.
