player. 514. . . . Colorado Buffaloes. 23

Colorado has been steadily present at the back-end of the Top 25 throughout this season and that continues after another solid week. The Buffaloes defended their home court in strong fashion with victories over California and Stanford to notch this No. 23 spot and that will lead them into a tough two-game road trip to Oregon/Oregon State during this coming week.

Colorado has seemingly received way less attention than it has deserved throughout this season despite often finding a spot in the national rankings.

There’s also no obvious reason for this. The Buffaloes play in a well-known, tough conference and were expected to be a very good team heading into the season as they were picked to be one of the favorites to win the Pac-12. Yet, it just doesn’t feel like anyone has given them credit for launching out to this 19-5 (8-3 P12) record.

Colorado, most notably, has emerged as a blossoming offensive team in recent weeks. While the Buffaloes still only rank 33rd nationally in adjusted offensive efficiency, they have been the most efficient scoring team in the Pac-12 since the start of conference play.

Colorado is taking the right steps with regard to developing a more balanced attack. Its offense is steadily improving alongside a solid defense and this will likely be an underseeded team by the time Selection Sunday arrives. The Buffs have flown under-the-radar a bit to this point, but that should change.
