Wisconsin Badgers – Buy

The Badgers have had a strange season by their standards. The post-Ethan Happ era did not start well, and the Badgers were still finding their identity. Once they were able to figure out defined roles the Badgers took off. They have done something that many of the other teams on this list have not done. They have won on the road, and in a league like the Big Ten that is a tall order. That will be viewed positively by the committee. The top-35 NET and the seven quad 1 wins are also going to be viewed positively by the committee.

Wisconsin currently has no losses in Quad 3 or Quad 4 that is a recipe for hearing their name called on selection Sunday. The one factor playing against Wisconsin is their record. If they can stay above .500 they are going to be a lock to have their name called on selection Sunday. However, the quad 4 loss still looms for Wisconsin as they still have games coming up at Nebraska and Northwestern. If they can get through those games with wins the rest will take care of itself. That is provided Wisconsin wins enough of their games to stay above .500.

Some questions for Wisconsin still need to be answered. Guard Brad Davison is one of the key pieces to the Badgers success. That is why the way he plays has become so frustrating to so many fans. If Davison can stay out of trouble Wisconsin will be better. With the early transfer of Kobe King, the Badgers have six guys they can now count on with the starting five and Brevin Pritzl. Their depth may get tested especially if anyone gets in early foul trouble or an injury occurs. As it sits right now Wisconsin is safely into the field, but a lot can happen in four weeks.
