True freshman Trayce Jackson-Davis who is Indiana’s leading scorer this season has been the main bright spot offensively for the Hoosiers this season. As said earlier, the Big Ten has been so competitive night in and night out this year that teams like Indiana who are struggling to compete for a top-6 seed in the Big Ten tournament come this March, would possibly be a top 3 seed in the PAC 12 this season.
However, with Jackson-Davis solidifying himself to be the front-runner for freshmen of the year in the Big Ten, he could make the Hoosiers a team to be feared come the Big Ten tournament in early March. Indiana if they can get more offense production from Justin Smith and Devonte Green, could make it to the semi-finals of the Big Ten tournament.
Indiana fans, for the most part, are clearly not thrilled nor happy by the job performance of head coach Archie Miller this season who is in year three as the head coach of the Indiana program. However, there have been gains this season in comparison to last season.
Hoosier fans may be on the verge of witnessing bigger achievement from him and the Indiana basketball program him sooner than later especially if they can somehow make the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA tournament in 2020. The Hoosiers will be a team to keep an eye on during this late stretch of games of Big Ten play entering into the month of March. Indiana will travel to play Minnesota on Feb. 19th and will have an opportunity to climb back into the middle of the Big Ten standings.
