Georgetown has been one of the few bubble teams that has hung around the cutline for the vast majority of this season. It has been a very tumultuous season for the program given the departures in non-conference play and the injuries suffered as of late, but head coach Patrick Ewing has kept this group together. The Hoyas sit at 15-10 (5-7 BE) on the season and have won three of their last four. With Mac McClung and Omer Yurtseven likely returning from injury soon, I don’t think we’ve seen the ceiling for this unit. They are now deserving of being on the right side of the bubble due to their high number of quality wins and lack of bad losses.

While Georgetown has been trending up, though, Indiana is nearly out of the field. The Hoosiers have dropped five of their last six games and it is becoming apparent that there is not all that much on their resume. An extremely low NET rating is also dragging down their NCAA Tournament hopes. Indiana is currently my last team in the field and would immediately drop out if Purdue is able to win its next game (the Boilermakers are currently out due to being only two games over .500. I can’t keep them in with that winning percentage).
