NEW YORK, NEW YORK – NOVEMBER 05: Cassius Stanley #2 of the Duke Blue Devils (Photo by Elsa/Getty Images) /

26. player. 149. . SG. Oklahoma City Thunder. Cassius Stanley

You know how I said the Thunder like to develop diamonds in the rough? Stanley isn’t exactly that, but he’s still someone with an immense upside that I think could end up being one of the better players in this class. He’s already a quality wing defender and is an elite athlete – he broke Zion Williamson’s vertical leap record at Duke – which helps him make special plays in transition. If he can become a more consistent three-point shooter, the sky is the limit for him.

18. . C. Boston Celtics. Aleksej Pokusevski. 27. player

If Boston ends up keeping all three of their first-round picks, they can take a flier on an international project with tremendous upside like Pokusevski. He’s that rare big man who is both a gifted three-point shooter and shot-blocker, not to mention his ability as a passer. That said, the seven-footer still needs a few years of seasoning, meaning draft-and-stash is an option.

Toronto Raptors. Kira Lewis Jr.. 28. player. 81. . PG

Kyle Lowry likely won’t be a Toronto Raptor for that much longer, and Fred VanVleet’s future is also in question given his contract status and the money he could demand on the open market. Lewis would give them a bit of an insurance policy. The Alabama sophomore is only an average athlete and doesn’t yet have a great jumper, but he is an excellent facilitator and can finish around the rim.

Scottie Lewis. 29. player. 20. . SG. Los Angeles Lakers

Los Angeles doesn’t need much but depth, defense, and shooting should be at the forefront of their draft wishlist. Lewis doesn’t add much in the shooting department, but the former five-star prospect is an elite defender and supreme athlete.

Boston Celtics. Jahmi'us Ramsey. 30. player. 18. . SG

The Celtics could go several directions with this pick, which they have courtesy of the Bucks, given that it’s their third first-rounder. If they keep all of them, Ramsey’s versatility makes a lot of sense. He has the physical tools and ball-handling skills to play anywhere on the perimeter while also being a reliable two-way player. In fact, Ramsey might be one of the more undervalued prospects in the class right now.
