Get Shooters their Confidence Back

What happened to San Diego State on Saturday night happens to everybody. Sometimes, you show up for your game and it’s not your night. Your shots won’t fall no matter what you try and you lose a game you expected to win. The important thing when this happens is to not let it affect the next game.

SDSU had one of their worst shooting performances of the year on Saturday, only knocking down 29.8% of their 3-point attempts, but they have a great chance to get back to normal on Tuesday. Colorado State’s defense is all kinds of terrible, but they are especially bad defending the 3. They’ve allowed opponents to knock down 34.1% of their 3 point attempts so far this season and shouldn’t provide much opposition to San Diego State’s 3-point attack.

This also happens to be one of the rare occasions where SDSU has to face an opponent who has size inside. The Aztecs need to get themselves back closer to their season average of 38% from 3 to stretch the defense and give themselves options to attack on offense.

San Diego State needs to make sure they can get their shooters rolling again or might not just be costly against CSU, but also over the next few weeks.
