4. Brown

Record: 13-10 (6-4 Ivy League)

For now, Brown sits at 4th in the Ivy League Basketball standings, a spot that will secure a bid into the Ivy League Tournament. If things play out as they have lately, then Brown could find itself on the outside looking in. The Bears have dropped two of their last three contests. They were beaten pretty easily too, suffering a 73-54 loss to Princeton, and a 63-45 loss to Cornell.

It might seem interesting that they come in at 4th in the power rankings; however, the reason is that there is enough of a gap between them and the teams that make up the back half of the league. In addition to the gap in the standings, Brown’s Senior leader, Brandon Anderson, is one of the best guards and most clutch performers in the Ivy League. Anderson averages 18.0 ppg and is going to have to be the guy that his team looks to in order for them to find more success.

A tough stretch against Princeton, Pennsylvania, and Harvard over these next few days will be very revealing of whether or not they are worthy of a top 4 finish in the league. A tough challenge is ahead, but Brown does control its own destiny.
