8. Oklahoma State Cowboys (15-14, 5-11)

The Oklahoma State Cowboys have been better lately, pulling off wins against lower-half Big 12 teams. The Cowboys are finally healthy and Lindy Waters seems to finally be in a groove, but it might just be too little too late.

The Cowboys have one of the most talented and well-rounded rosters in the conference, but putting it all together has been the issue for MIke Boynton’s group, as both injuries and inconsistency have done the Cowboys in for the year.

Perhaps no team in the Big 12 has a brighter future than Oklahoma State, as a top-notch recruiting class is waiting in the wings. Like the Cyclones, they have the potential to win a game in the Big 12 Tournament, but unless they can pull off a West Virginia-like run, the Cowboys will have to wait anxiously for next season.

7. TCU Horned Frogs (16-13, 7-9)

The TCU Horned Frogs are fresh off of the biggest upset of the season in the Big 12, knocking off second-ranked Baylor at home on Saturday behind a monster game from Desmond Bane.

This was the type of game that everyone was waiting for out of Bane and the Frogs, as TCU has stuck with Baylor and Kansas in every matchup this season, finally being able to pull off a win.

TCU does not have the résumée to even be on the NCAA Tournament bubble, however, they do have the potential to win at least one game in the Big 12 Tournament. Behind Bane and Kevin Samuel, the Frogs have the 1-2 punch that is necessary to make a run in a tournament scenario.

While it is fun to speculate, there is little chance that TCU even has a shot at the NCAA Tournament. The win over Baylor was nice and will go down as one of the biggest in recent memory, but it is simply too little too late for the Frogs.
