Moore needs to continue to contribute

Justin Moore might have been a Freshman when he walked onto campus in September, but now it is March, and the day he started as a Freshman is a distant memory. If Moore continues to be a starter like he has been the past eight games, Villanova’s whole starting line-up will average double digits.

While averaging 11 points per game, Moore has reached at least 15 points in nine games, including his 19 points Wednesday versus Seton Hall. All of those games, except versus Creighton, resulted in a Villanova victory.

While he did most of his damage from beyond the arc going five for eight, he did get a couple of jumpers just outside the key, just not at the rate of Saddiq Bey. On the season Moore is shooting thirty-eight percent from deep, the last nine games, not including today’s performance, he has made forty-eight percent.

The Freshman rust must be rubbing off, and it is exactly what the Villanova Wildcats need to succeed in March.
