21. UNC Greensboro Spartans (23-8, 13-5 SoCon)

When the Spartans were in the midst of winning 11 out of 12 games, there was a possibility that they could have an at-large shot, giving the Southern Conference multiple bids for the NCAA Tournament. However, back-to-back losses to Furman and Chattanooga have all but ended those dreams.

Speaking of Chattanooga, that’ll be the quarterfinal opponent for UNC Greensboro on Saturday, so it’ll be a quick chance at revenge. But they’ll likely have to face Furman in the semis, before the No. 1 seed East Tennessee State. If they can make it through the gauntlet in the next few days, the Spartans will have earned their spot in the Big Dance.

What they do have going for them is Isaiah Miller, who was just recently awarded with the SoCon Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. The two-way star averaged 17.9 ppg and is the primary source of offense. They’re a strong defensive unit as well, ranked in the top-25 in scoring defense with 62.6 ppg. The 3 seed in the SoCon Tournament may be the most balanced team in the field so don’t count them out in what should be a hotly contested event.
