Where will the MAC champ land on Selection Sunday?

In years’ past, the Mid-American conference has earned multiple bids to the NCAA Tournament, that will not happen in 2020, you must win the tournament if you want to dance from the MAC. Looking at a number of brackets, there is some variance not only in where people see the conference tournament champion landing when the bracket is revealed, but who that representative will be. The Mid-American seems like one of those conferences this season that their seed range is relatively small if one of the favorites takes home the title.

As of now, it looks like most people believe either Akron or Bowling Green will be the MAC champion and that they will either end up as a No. 13 or 14 seed. Currently, the Busting Brackets’ projected field sees the Mid-American champion as a No. 13 seed going head-to-head with No. 4 Louisville in the first round.

Whether the champ ends up being Akron, Bowling Green or even one of the top four or fives seeds end up winning the tournament, I see the 14 line as being the floor for this conference, with lower conferences taking up the bottom two seed lines, but if an underdog makes a surprising run, a trip to Dayton could be in the offing.
