NCAA Basketball: A look at current coaching changes through Mid-March

Western Illinois: Out: Billy Wright In: TBD

Western Illinois terminated coach Billy Wright after six seasons with the program. Wright posted a 53-115 record, which included going 5-21 overall and 2-14 in Summit League play this past season.

Baldwin, Jones, Johnson, and Dildy are potential candidates.

Western Michigan: Out: Steve Hawkins In: TBD

Western Michigan decided not to bring long-time coach Steve Hawkins back for an18th season. His contract was set to expire on May 31. WMU went 13-19 overall and 6-12 in MAC play this past season. Hawkins was 291-262 and led the Broncos to two NCAA Tournament bids and six postseason appearances overall.

Western Michigan assistant Clayton Bates, Miami (OH) head coach Jack Owens, Eastern Michigan head coach Rob Murphy, and Central Michigan head coach Keno Davis are potential candidates.

Wyoming: Out: Allen Edwards  In: TBD

Allen Edwards was fired by Wyoming, on March 9, following back-to-bach-dismal seasons. After posting consecutive 20-win seasons in his first two seasons, and claiming the CBI crown in 2016-17, the Cowboys went a combined 17-48 and 6-30 in Mountain West play over the last two seasons under the 44-year-old. Edwards finishes his tenure at Wyoming with a 60-76 record overall.

Wyoming assistant Shaun Vandiver, North Florida head coach Matt Driscoll, Nebraska head coach Tim Miles, Pilipovich, and Northern Colorado head coach Jeff Linder are potential candidates.
