MVP – Zavier Simpson
The Wolverines may have struggled when Isaiah Livers went down to injury this year, but no one was as important to the Wolverines this year. Simpson was one of the best point guards in the country this year. He may not have been a huge scoring threat but the way he ran the Michigan offense was second to none.
Simpson was one of the best passers in the country and averaged 7.9 assister per game, which was second in the nation. Simpson broke a record for most wins in his career at Michigan and helped lead the Wolverines to two Big Ten tournament titles and a runner up finish. He was also part of the 2018 national runner up team. You will find better scorers than Simpson, but it will be tough to replace him as the leader of the Wolverines offense.
Best Moment – Winning the Battle 4 Atlantis

In an absolutely loaded field that included three top-ten teams at the time, Michigan dominated the Battle 4 Atlantis. The Wolverines easily got by Iowa State, before blowing North Carolina. If that wasn’t good enough Michigan dismantled a Gonzaga team that would go on to only lose two games all year. The 18 point win over the Zags was the highlight of the year for the Wolverines nad brought them home an impressive championship and it is also got us this dance:
