MVP – Kaleb Wesson

Wesson is the younger of two brothers playing for Ohio State, but he is the better of the two. Wesson averaged 14.1 points per game and was deadly from anywhere on the court. He was not only great inside but he shot 42.4% from deep.

Wesson helped get the Buckeyes up to number two in the country before they took a little slide. But he was right there to right the ship and get Ohio State playing some of its best basketball when it came to the conference tournament. If he comes back for his senior year the Buckeyes could be one of the best in not only the Big Ten but the country.

Best Moment – Beating North Carolina in Chapel Hill by 25

The Buckeyes like a few other teams in the conference had some really good moments this year. Ohio State swept hated rival Michigan, whipped Villanova, and beat Kentucky. They also had a four-game winning streak that included wins against three different ranked opponents.

Those were all great times this year, but there is nothing like going into Chapel Hill and beating the Tar Heels. Yes, North Carolina ended up not being very good this year, but at the time they were playing good basketball. Not only did the Buckeyes going into the Dean Dome and beat UNC, but they also demolished them. Duane Washington led the way with 18 points as the Buckeyes showed the nation they were an elite team, at least at the time they were.
