Big Ten Basketball: Power rankings for end of 2019-20 season

MVP – The whole team
Look, if there ever was a team that deserved to get a share of an MVP award it would be the Wisconsin Badgers. You couldn’t just stop one player this year and once they got rolling in the Big Ten part of their schedule it was nearly impossible to stop them.
Nate Reuvers led the team in scoring. Micah Potter only played in 21 games but became instant offense and was the second-leading scorer. Brad Davison played harder than anybody on the court and was borderline dirty but the guy every Badger fan loved. D’Mitrick Trice struggled to find his shot but came up big in situations the Badgers needed him, like the 28 point performance to beat Michigan in Ann Arbor. As a team, they were one of the best three-point shooting teams in the country and were tough to stop, which is why they won their last eight games en route to an improbable share of the Big Ten title.
Best Moment – Beating IU on the road for a share of the Big Ten title
Wisconsin went just 6-4 in non-conference play including losses to Richmond, New Mexico, and NC State. They did not look like a good basketball team and then one of their top players Kobe King left the program. Things did not look good for the Badgers.
Then they started winning and winning some more. They were winners of seven straight heading into their game at Indiana and gave them a shot at winning a share of the Big Ten. Even with what was on the line the Badgers still trailed by five with just over six minutes left to play. All they did was hold IU scoreless for the next five minutes to take the lead. Although Indiana would make a run at them to end the game the Badgers held on and got a share on of the most unlikely Big Ten titles in history.
