Jaxson Robinson – Ada H.S. (OK)

No. 38 in Rivals150 | No. 28 in Top247

Texas A&M was not expected to be all that successful in Year 1 under new head coach Buzz Williams. And while the Aggies certainly started slowly, they picked up their level of play tremendously over the latter half of the season.

Coach Williams is excellent when it comes to rebuilding programs and he is already off to a great start in College Station. That is noticeable on the court and also appears on the recruiting trail with two huge early commits in the 2021 class.

Jaxson Robinson, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of Oklahoma, was the first to announce his decision to play Texas A&M as he verbally committed on Jan. 21st. He is an elite perimeter shooter from beyond the arc that can make it splash both off the dribble and in catch-and-shoot situations. His overall ball handling is improving as well, which contributes to development in his three-level scoring abilities.

Robinson is already a dangerous offensive weapon and he rebounds extremely well for his position. On the defensive end of the floor, Robinson has enough size to cover multiple positions. He is at his best while operating on the wing on both ends, though. On the whole, he fits the mold of being a high-level scorer at the collegiate level that also has a pretty high ceiling defensively.
