Ahamad Bynum – Simeon (IL)

SG | 6-foot-3 | 175 lbs | Committed to DePaul

No. 67 in Rivals150 | No. 64 in Top247

I said earlier that Keon Edwards was the second domino to fall in DePaul’s 2021 recruiting class and that is because Ahamad Bynum was the first. A local product from the same school that produced Derrick Rose and Jabari Parker, Bynum is a dynamic off-guard that should immediately fill a role with the Blue Demons. He is also the nephew of former NBA player Will Bynum.

Bynum committed to DePaul back in November while citing that “everybody knows what family means to us in Chicago” as one of the main reasons for his decision (Rivals).

With a lengthy wingspan and plenty of athleticism, Bynum is a polished talent that also oozes physical gifts. He can attack the basket ferociously while also making an impact on the defensive end of the floor as well. Bynum can still look to improve with regard to his playmaking but should be an immediate contributor at the Big East level by the time he arrives on campus.

Bynum is already an elite-tier athlete and his overall game is only continuing to improve.
