4. Rose hits five threes in ten minutes against Memphis

Rose won’t go down as one of the greatest three-point shooters in Temple history, finishing his career at just under 30% from deep over his four college seasons. And while he often did shoot exceptionally poorly from behind the arc, he received perhaps more than his fair share of criticism for his deep-range struggles.

That perhaps made his first-half outburst against Memphis at Liacouras Center during his junior season that much more memorable; he’d only hit 15 total three-pointers on the season when the Tigers came to visit North Philly in late January 2019, but Rose added five to that season total just over ten minutes into the game. He also scored 26 points in a game he took over with Shizz Alston, Jr. struggling from the floor, and lifted the Owls to a win they needed come Selection Sunday.

3. Quinton Rose becomes the AAC’s all-time leading scorer

Jarron Cumberland, Jalen Adams, Rob Gray, Gary Clark; these are guys that played four years of AAC hoops and didn’t score as many points as Quinton Rose did. Q will leave campus as the conference’s all-time leading scorer, tallying 1,860 total points in his career. He took the top spot on the list during a 25-point performance in a dramatic come-from-behind win at home against SMU in February. Jarron Cumberland, whose senior season was similarly cut short by the NCAA’s cancelations, is second on the all-time list, 78 points behind Rose.
