15. Marquette Golden Eagles (3 commits)

Average Class Ranking: 15.0

Marquette, even with massive late-season struggles, was likely to make its second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance during this past campaign. While there might not be a ton of fan support for head coach Steve Wojciechowski at the moment due to some underwhelming results on the court, there is hope for a big jump considering the amount of talent arriving for the future. Coaching, not recruiting, is the concern for Marquette moving forward but having more talent usually helps.

With regard to this 2020 recruiting class, the Golden Eagles have secured three early commits and it is reasonable to think each will be tasked with playing big minutes early in their careers. Marquette, among other pieces, will be losing superstar guard Markus Howard this offseason and the team will look vastly different without him running the show.

One of the top options to emerge as the star next season is versatile 6-foot-11 forward Dawson Garcia. He is ranked as the No. 30/37 prospect in the 2020 class and should snag a starting spot from the opening tip of his freshman season. Garcia is a fluid athlete and a matchup nightmare with his versatile offensive game. He can also be a solid stopper on the other end.

Coach Wojo was also able to snag a pair of combo forwards in Justin Lewis and Osasere Ighodaro. Lewis comes in ranked at No. 81/107 in the class with a well-built 6-foot-7 frame. He is not the best shooter but should be a strong slashing option and is a great rebounder/defender for his position.

Ighodaro (No. 110/94) stands at 6-foot-9 but needs to add some muscle. He is a very versatile offensive talent, though, with steady shooting and nice playmaking instincts at his size.
