1. Gonzaga Bulldogs

This is the season I am finally ready to say that Mark Few has unseated Jay Wright as the coach who produces the most watchable brand of basketball in the nation. It’s absolutely unbelievable that a school that lost its top four scorers in the offseason and didn’t reload with a bunch of 5-star recruits like Duke or Kentucky got even better this season.

With SEVEN different players scoring in double-digits for his team, there’s no coach in Division 1 better at getting the most out of every single player on their roster than Mark Few. With his Spurs style motion-spread offense, players are never standing still off-ball, either setting screens or making backdoor cuts to get open for the ball handler. This not only keeps everyone on the floor involved in the offense but consistently creates open layups and shots. The offense is the pinnacle of efficiency, and this year’s squad executed it perfectly, once again finishing #1 in offensive rating and #3 in Effective FG%.

This was easily one of Gonzaga‘s best chances to capture that elusive first National Championship in school history, so the cancellation of the tournament hurt the Bulldogs as much as anyone in the country. They will also lose 3 key rotation pieces in the offseason, including stud forward Killian Tillie, but Coach Few has already done work on the recruiting trail, landing the school’s first-ever 5-star recruit according to 24/7 Sports in Jalen Suggs.

The cancellation of this year’s tournament certainly stings for Gonzaga fans, but they can take comfort in knowing the Watchability GOAT, Mr. Few, will almost certainly bring the same amount of success next season.
