Greg Brown

PF | 6-foot-9 | 195 lbs | No. 9 overall

Arguably the best athlete in the entire 2020 class, Greg Brown is a terror. With a lengthy 6-foot-9 frame and oozing athleticism, he fits the mold of a dynamic two-way threat with impressive versatility. Perhaps most notably, he could be an impressive defender from the opening tip of his collegiate career. Thanks to his incredible quickness, length, and bounce, he can defend many positions and be a difference-maker with his shot-blocking.

Although not the most polished offensive player, he can stretch the floor out to 3-point range and attacks off the dribble as well. His best offensive attribute is that he runs extremely well for a 6-foot-9 forward. He can be a ridiculous finisher in transition as he beats his man down the floor and then plays above the rim with ease. Brown is ranked at No. 9 overall in the 2020 class and while he is already a talented player, his ceiling is what is so enticing.

For the past several months, Texas has been deemed the favorite to land Brown’s commitment thanks to the efforts of head coach Shaka Smart. Auburn has recently been making a fervent push to land the talented forward and head coach Bruce Pearl can offer an intriguing pitch. Rivals’ Corey Evans even went as far as to say that “there have been whispers in recent weeks that Auburn has gained ground and taken the leader spot.”

Brown is slated to make his decision on April 24th.
