7) William & Mary

Still in search of their first ever trip to NCAA tournament, the Tribe exceed expectations in 2020. According to a vote by the league’s coaches and media members, W&M were predicted to finish 7th in the CAA. The Tribe went on to finsh 21-11 and earned the second seed in tournament. Easy to say Coach Dane Fischer’s first season was a giant success.

With all of last year’s success, the Tribe will have to go on without the best player to ever go through the program. There has only been two division I players since 1992 to average 20 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two blocks per game. One is Tim Duncan the other is Nathan Knight.

Knight’s will be leaving behind 20.7 points and 10.5 rebounds, a void that might be the most impactful in the CAA. The Tribe will also be without two main contributors Andy Van Vliet and Bryce Barners. The three were responsible for nearly sixty percent of offensive production last season.

Luke Loewe will be asked to be the man on campus next year. The 6’4 guard shoots lights out from deep and defends the perimeter well. With a few role players and recruits returning as well look for W&M to be one of the most frisky teams in the CAA come next season.
