Georgia Bulldogs

Pros

The coronavirus pandemic has had an impact on everyone but particularly young adults who want to say close to their families during this time. That explains why the Bulldogs, who Nolley actually originally committed to before switching to Virginia Tech is one of the three finalists.

On the court, Nolley could envision a role similar to that of Anthony Edwards. He averaged 19.1 ppg to lead the Bulldogs at the shooting guard spot and is on his way to being a top-5 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Nolley doesn’t have the same kind of draft projection but he’s already shown that he can score at a high level in college. He’d also be playing with a much more experienced group of teammates in Toumani Camara, Sahvir Wheeler and others, far different from the bunch of true freshmen he was with at Virginia Tech.

Pros

The big problem is that like Virginia Tech, Georgia is looking more of a bottom-half team in their respective conference. Despite having arguably the most talented individual player in the SEC, the Bulldogs still finished 5-13 in league play and just .500 overall. Even if Nolley were to play next season, this team wouldn’t be predicted to make the NCAA Tournament. If winning plays a factor more than location, the Bulldogs may be in trouble.
