NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Top class of 2020 recruits from all 50 states
New York: RJ Davis, Archbishop Stepinac (White Plains)
RJ Davis averaged 26.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.1 steals while leading the Crusaders to an 18-9 record and to the Catholic High School Athletic Association championship. The UNC signee finished his career as Westchester County’s all-time leading scorer with 2,446 career points.
North Dakota: Boden Skunberg, Jamestown
Boden Skunberg averaged 28.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.6 steals while leading the Blue Jays to a 20-4 record as well as a spot in the Class A quarterfinals. The 6-5 wing finished his career as Jamestown’s leading scorer (1,732) and rebounder (622). Skungberg will play at North Dakota State next season.
Ohio: VonCameron Davis, Walnut Ridge (Columbus)
VonCameron Davis led the Scots to a 22-5 record and a Division 1 regional semifinals appearance as well as the program’s first City League Championship since 1971. The Kent State signee averaged 26.2 points, on 52.7% shooting from the field, along with with10.3 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game. Davis finished his career with 2,201 points and 819 rebounds.
Oklahoma: Bryce Thompson, Booker T. Wahington (Tulsa)
Bryce Thompson averaged 24.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists while leading the Hornets to a 20-5 record and a berth in the Class 6A state semifinals. The 6-4 shooting guard scored 1,945 points for his career. Thompson, who a consensus top 30 player in the 2020 class, signed with Kansas.
Pennsylvania: Ethan Morton, Butler
Ethan Morton led the Golden Tornadoes to quarterfinals of the 6A state playoffs as he produced averaged 23.4 points, 13.0 rebounds, 8.3 assists, and 2.2 steals. The 6-6 wing topped the 2,000 point plateau. Morton is a four-star recruit who is headed to Purdue.
Rhode Island: Ericson Bans, Shea (Pawtucket)
Ericson Bans averaged 30.1 points and six dimes while leading the Raiders an 18-8 record in the Open State Tournament. The 6-1 point guard finished his career as the state’s all-time leading scorer with 2,570 points. Bans is headed to Bryant.
