Georgia Tech signs two players offer Jose Perez

Georgia Tech officially signed transfers Kyle Sturdivant and Rodney Howard on April 21. Sturdivant, a three-star recruit, saw sparse action in his only season at USC. The 6-3 guard averaged two points along with 1.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting just 34.8% from the field and 21.4% from beyond the arc. Howard also saw sparse action last season with Georgia though he showed some promise as a rebounder and shot-blocker. The 6-11 center averaged 1.3 points and 1.5 caroms in 7.3 minutes over 24 appearances. Both players are slated to sit out the upcoming season and will have three years of eligibility left.

The Yellow Jackets offered Gardner Webb transfer Jose Perez on April 22. Perez, who entered the transfer portal on Saturday, has also drawn interest from DePaul, Memphis, Georgia, Marquette, Rhode Island, Dayton, Illinois, Iowa State, Missouri, BYU, and New Mexico, among others. The 6-5 guard averaged 15.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists though he shot just 34% from the floor and 25% from beyond the arc. He produced one double-double and scored in double-figures in 18 of 22 appearances.

Georgia Tech has one more scholarship available in 2020. The Yellow Jackets have several other open offers out, including three-star point guards Isaiah LeBlanc (Desoto, TX) and Christian Wright (Alpharetta, GA) and Justin Blossomgame (Riverdale, GA). They also have offers out to three-star shooting guards Justin Thomas (Fayetteville, NC), Devin Carter (Miami, FL), Austin Harvell (Athens, AL), and Desmond Polk (La Porte, IN). As well as three-star wing Jermontae Hill (Tucker, GA) and Brandon Hill (Savannah, GA).
