10. Marcus Garrett (Kansas)

Garrett is not known for his offense, but he still can produce somewhat offensively. Garrett has improved a lot offensively from averaging two points a game as a freshman to now averaging nine points a game as a junior. Garrett also had games last year where he did produce offensively. Against Oklahoma, Garrett had 24 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and four steals while shooting six of nine behind the arc. Garrett also had an 18 point game against Dayton which sparked the Jayhawks to a 90-84 OT win. But overall there is still some room for improvement for Garrett offensively.

Garrett makes the most impact defensively for Kansas. Garrett leads an outstanding Kansas defense that was 10th in the nation in points allowed, fourth in the nation in defensive rating, fifth in the nation in opponent effective field goal percentage, and ranked in the top five all-time in Ken Pom’s adjusted defensive efficiency rating.

If Garrett adds tools to his offensive game next season, he has the potential to be college basketball’s next Marcus Smart. Which could make him be a first-round pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
