2019 – Brandon Clarke, 1 Gonzaga vs 9 Baylor, 2nd Round

This performance was the pinnacle of draft Twitter’s obsession with Clarke (looks like they were right considering his rookie season so far): 36 points on 15-18(!) shooting, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals, five blocks, and a supernatural ability to always be in the right place on the court.

2019 – Caleb Homesley, 12 Liberty vs 5 Virginia Tech, 1st Round

Homesley led the charge in Liberty’s upset of Virginia Tech in the first round last season with a game-high 30 points on 10-16 shooting (5-11 from three), four rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block.

2019 – Ty Jerome, 1 Virginia vs 5 Auburn, Final Four

Ty Jerome, Kyle Guy, and De’Andre Hunter all turned in excellent performances throughout the 2019 tournament on the way to being crowned champions and making up for 2018, but Jerome’s Final Four game was the best: 21 points (8-16 from the field), nine rebounds, and six assists, all team bests.

2019 – Fletcher Magee, 7 Wofford vs 10 Seton Hall, 1st Round

Magee may have come up depressingly short in the second round, but his first-round fireball performance will always be remembered: 24 points, 7-12 from deep, and the title of the NCAA’s all-time three-point king.

2020 – Obi Toppin, 1 Dayton vs 2 San Diego State, National Championship

I decided to leave the final spot open for the 2020 NCAA Tournament that wasn’t. Feel free to fill in the blank with whatever dominant performance you most wanted to see. Personally, I’m taking Obi Toppin’s wind-milling, shot-swatting night to win the national championship.
