2018 – Malik Newman, 1 Kansas vs 2 Duke, Elite Eight

In the game of the 2018 tournament and one of the best March Madness games of the decade, in a game full of big names who played well, Malik Newman was the far and away star of this overtime battle for a Final Four spot. He scored 32 points (8-19 from the field, 5-12 from three, 11-12 from the line) and added seven rebounds and three steals.

2018 – Donte DiVincenzo, 1 Villanova vs 3 Michigan, National Title Game

The most iconic performance of the 2018 tournament. Nobody was beating that stacked Villanova team, but who knows how close Michigan keeps the game if DiVincenzo doesn’t have the game of his life: 31 points off the bench on 10-15 from the field and 5-7 from deep, plus five rebounds, three assists, and two blocks. This game earned Donte a lot of money.

2018 – Jevon Carter, 5 West Virginia vs 13 Marshall, 2nd Round

In a game that featured two exciting styles of play, Press Virginia’s defense vs Marshall’s free-wheeling D’Antoni offense, Carter was the standout. He did it all in the win, scoring efficiently (28 points on 10-18 shooting and 5-7 from three), playmaking (five assists), and stout defense (four rebounds, five steals, and he was the headman of the press).

2018 – Cody Martin, 7 Nevada vs 2 Cincinnati, 2nd Round

One of the craziest comebacks in NCAA Tournament history. The Wolf Pack, a team known for wild comebacks, had their finest hour in this 22-point turnaround, and Martin led the way with 25 points, six rebounds, seven assists, and one steal.

2018 – Wes Clark, 13 Buffalo vs 4 Arizona, 1st Round

The strength of the 2018 and 2019 Buffalo squads lied in their depth, but if one individual performance stood out in their pair of NCAA wins it was Clark in 2018 during their destruction of Arizona: 25 points (10-14 shooting), four rebounds, seven assists, and great defense (one steal, two blocks).
