Quick look at the Gators 2020-21 roster

PG/1- Andrew Nembhard (if returns), Tre Mann (if returns), Ques Glover

SG/2- Tyreee Appleby, Niels Lane, Alex Katsky

SF/3 – Noah Locke, Scottie Lewis, Samson Ruzhentsev

PF/4 – Keyontae Johnson, Anthony Duruji, Osayi Osifo

C/5- Omar Payne, Jason Jitobah,

UF has a lot of movable parts with Payne, Jitobah and Osifo limited to the frontcourt. If Nembhard doesn’t return Appleby would likely slide over to the one meaning Locke would go to the 2 thus leaving Johnson and Lewis at the 3 or 4.

A quick look at the roster in 2021-22 as things currently stands

PG/1- Andrew Nembhard (if returns), Tre Mann (if returns), Ques Glover

SG/2- Tyree Appleby, Niels Lane (if returns), Kowacie Reeves  Alex Katsky

SF/3 – Noah Locke (if returns), Scottie Lewis (if returns), Reeves,  Samson Ruzhentsev

PF/4 – Keyontae Johnson (if returns), Anthony Duruji, Osayi Osifo

C/5 – Omar Payne (if returns), Jason Jitobah, Colin Castleton

Here here is another possibility if some players don’t return.

PG/1: Appleby or Mann (if returns), Glover, Lane

SG/2: Appleby, Lane (if returns), Reeves, Klatsky

SF/3: Locke (if he returns), Reeves, Ruzhentsev

PF/4: Duruji, Osifo

C/5: Jitobah, Castleton

So, let’s say that everyone that could leave, and I believe Mann, Lane, and Locke being the least likely at this point. That would leave UF with three to five scholarships to play with for 2021. The Gators currently have a boatload of offers out to junior class prospects.

According to 247Sports, 6-6 wing Harrison Ingram is UF’s top target. The Gators are also reportedly very interested in five-star shooting guard Trevor Keels, four-star power forward Alex Tchikou, four-star point guard Rashool Diggins, four-star shooting guard Chance Moore, four-star point guard Ryan Nembhard, four-star wing John Camden, and unranked Cesare Edwards. They are also interested five star small forward Patrick Baldwin, five-star point guard JD Davison, four-star small forward Trey Patterson, four-star point guard Breyon Freeman, three-star center Bretner Mutombo, unranked combo guard Elijah Wood, three-star wing Randy Brady, and Brian Thomas Jr.

Four-star wing Benny Williams, on of the Gators’ top targets, didn’t include Florida in his recently announced final four. However, the Gators are believed to have the inside track on Ryan Nembhard — who is the younger brother of current Gator, Andrew.
