Kadary Richmond – Syracuse

SF | 6-foot-5 | 175 lbs | No. 80 overall

Brewster Academy (NH) has a great reputation for preparing players for the collegiate ranks and Kadary Richmond will be among the next in that long line. Richmond just finished up an excellent season with the program in which he was named First Team All NEPSAC Class AAA alongside teammates Terrence Clarke (UK), Jamal Mashburn Jr. (Minnesota), and Matt Cross (Miami).

His jump in recruiting rankings was warranted as a result of this strong campaign. After previously being regarded as a fringe Top 200 recruit late last summer, he is now safely in the Top 100.

Richmond is the type of multidimensional prospect that is so valued in the modern era of hoops. He can play positions 1-through-3 on both ends of the floor and does an excellent job controlling \ tempo. He never appears out of control and is able to consistently beat his man off the dribble to get into the lane. Richmond is at his best with the ball in his hands as an attacker and is consistently raising his skill level.

It is also reasonable to think that Richmond will be able to see immediate playing time with Syracuse as a freshman. The Orange are a bit thin on the perimeter heading into this season and Richmond is the type of versatile prospect that could fill a variety of roles while on the floor. With his quickness and ridiculous length, Richmond should be an excellent fit in Syracuse’s defensive scheme and he should slide alongside Joe Girard and Buddy Boeheim quite well.

Richmond is trending up and Brewster Academy will have him prepared for the college game.
