California Bears

The departure of starting guards Paris Austin and Kareem South leaves a huge hole for the Bears. They could use another dynamic scorer to help out All-Pac 12 returner Matt Bradley and Flowers would have a huge role in the offense for Cal. He would join another grad transfer pickup in Ryan Betley from Penn.

The Bears are also after another grad transfer guard in DePaul’s Jalen Coleman-Lands, who has them in his own final-five list. With one scholarship left, Cal picking up this guard would likely take them out of the running for Flowers, although they could use him as the point guard next season.

DePaul Blue Demons

The departure of said shooting guard Coleman-Lands opens up a need for a scoring guard to pair alongside star point guard Charlie Moore. They already added a pair of transfers this offseason in Valpo’s Javon Freeman-Liberty (sit out next season) and D-II import Courvoisier McCauley. The likely ability to start on a Big East squad is alluring and Flowers can play off the ball to Moore at the two-spot.

The Blue Demons are also in the running for UNLV grad transfer Jonah Antonio, who is primarily a three-point shooter. They’re able to add a couple more transfers this offseason and both Flowers and Antonio could have big roles on the guard-deprived DePaul team next year.
