Arkansas Razorbacks

It’s weird seeing Arkansas involved with a player that isn’t a transfer but in order to compete with the upper echelon of the SEC, they’ll have to find quality prospects out of high school. The coaching staff did very well in the 2020 class, landing four 4-star recruits and ranked in the top-10 overall. With both Isaiah Joe and grad transfer Vance Jackson gone after next season, the small forward position is wide open for Ingram to come in and excel.

That position has been a favorite of Coach Mussleman’s who loves to utilize all-around players on the wing. Ingram’s own game is similar to that of former Nevada guard and Mountain West Player of the Year Caleb Martin, along with his brother Cody and past leading scorer Mason Jones. The offense of the Razorbacks is a major selling point and could keep them in contention in this sweepstakes.

Baylor Bears

The Bears aren’t usually a contender for five-star recruits but after the season they just had, expect more players to have an interest in this program. They ran a three-guard lineup for the most part but could use a bigger wing for size purposes. And whether it’s this or next offseason, both Jared Butler and MaCio Teague aren’t going to be around for Baylor anymore, so adding a capable leading scorer in Ingram would be a nice move.

Besides being a local option, this is a culture and environment that suits Ingram well. It’s always filed with upperclassmen and those who sat out via transfers and rarely are there ever “one and done” players who go to Memphis. The wing could change that but could also stay 2-3 years and fully develop his game. Scott Drew and the coaching staff has been one of the best in development, evident by turning a former D-III transfer in Freddie Gillispie into an All-Big 12 performer.
