Texas Tech – Nimari Burnett

"“He’s everything we look for, no. 1, he’s a winner. He’s won at every level he’s ever played at from when he was a little kid, to the circuit, to USA Basketball, to FIBA 3-on-3, to the Peach Jam, the guy just knows how to win.” – Chris Beard, Texas Tech Head Coach"

Chris Beard isn’t new to developing gifted wings to Lubbock. Thanks to the top-ranked recruiting class in the Big 12, he’ll do it again this year. Amari Burnett, the lone guard in the group, holds their highest rank at 26.

The Red Raiders are already stacked at Burnett’s position including Jah’mius Ramsey the 2019 product who recently declared for the draft stood as the program’s highest-ranked player ever. Beard’s May come back to the season with one of the deepest wing rotations in the country thanks to a class including two 6-7 athletes who excel on defense.

Continuing Beard and Co.’s wave of success has led to a full cupboard. So full that improving on their 9-9 season in the Big-12 shouldn’t be out of the question. The size they’re allotted to bring in and the youth now turned to experience on the roster we could a strong year out of the Red Raiders.
