4. So what are Seton Hall’s Expectations next season?

With the storylines looked over, let’s see the Pirates ceiling and floor for this season.

Ceiling: Aiken and Molson seamlessly fit into the Pirates rotation, while Cale and Samuel find their role as complementary players. Seton Hall hangs around the top 25 for most of the year and ends up grabbing a 6 or 7 seed.

Floor: To start, Mamukelashvili decides to stay in the NBA draft, a move that would be truly shocking, but possible. Aiken struggles with injury problems, and Molson doesn’t ever adjust to the Big East. Obiagu can’t get over his foul problems and Seton Hall’s frontcourt depth is suddenly gone in most games. Even with all this, I think Seton Hall stays out of the Big East basement and finishes around 7th or 8th, and battles for a spot in the NIT.

Expectations: Obviously, I think the Pirates will be somewhere in between and be spending most of the season battling for an NCAA tournament spot. Sit out transfers have a track record of transitioning to the Pirates fairly well, so I believe Molson will have an immediate impact. However the rest of the team is tough to gauge, but Kevin Willard usually makes the most out of his talent.
