DePaul Blue Demons

With the exception of the USC Trojans, no other program has been as busy in the transfer portal as DePaul, who already landed three perimeter players this offseason. Both Ray Salnave and Courvoisier McCauley are grad transfers, while Valpo high-scoring guard Javon Freeman-Liberty is looking for a waiver to play next season or will have to sit out.

The Blue Demons still have a scholarship left thanks to the many previous departures, including forward Paul Reed. They’ll need to replace rising senior Jaylen Butz later and potentially Romeo Weems, a former top-50 recruit who could have a breakout campaign and go pro. They’ll need to find more production for the 2021-22 season to make any kind of progress in the Big East and could use another sit-out transfer to keep the program in decent shape or have to scramble and find more talents in late May.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Next season could be big for the Yellow Jackets, bringing back its top three scorers from last season. And if star guard Michael Devoe has a huge campaign and goes pro, they’ll lose all of them for 2021-22 as well. That also includes junior wing Jordan Usher, who averaged 8.2 ppg and 4.4 rpg this year.

With no wings outside of Khalid Moore projected on the roster, that’s an area that needs to be addressed by the coaching staff. Adding a sit-out transfer should be a priority this offseason if an elite graduated doesn’t join Georgia Tech in order to avoid a complete rebuild after next season.
