Gonzaga Bulldogs

With the delay of the deadline for early NBA Draft entrants to make a decision, Gonzaga will have to wait a little longer on a trio of decisions. One of them includes wing shooter Corey Kispert, although odds are he is expected to return for another year. The team will need to replace him and have been in contact with other wing forwards, including Chaundee Brown of Wake Forest.

Few programs have had as much success with transfers than Gonzaga, who is the dominant school in the WCC. That’ll be a different kind of experience for Olaniyi, who has been used to looking up at the Vermont Catamounts in the America East. With sophomore Anton Watson possibly leaving as well if he has a huge season, having a quality combo forward waiting in the wings with an available scholarship isn’t a bad idea, while remaining old in the process.

Miami Hurricanes

After finishing under .500 for the season, the Hurricanes are a team that could use a talent boost, primarily from the offensive end. They’re going to have to replace star point guard Chris Lykes, along with starting wing Kameron McGusty. They’ll be good for the future with underclassmen playmakers Isaiah Wong and Harlond Beverly on the perimeter but need a productive scoring at the forward positions.

Miami does have prized top-35 recruit Earl Timberlake joining the program this offseason. He’s a wing also but can play the 2/3 spots, while Olaniyi is better at the 3/4 positions. The coaching staff can find room for both of them to excel, which would be needed if the team wants to climb the ranks of the ACC anytime soon.
