Texas A&M Aggies

A top-20 incoming recruiting class plus a solid grad transfer (Kevin Marfo) will have Texas A&M in position to compete in the SEC this upcoming season. With three projected starting guards (Jay Jay Chandler, Quenton Jackson and Savion Flagg) all leaving after next year, there’s a need for more perimeter talent in the 2021 class.

The Aggies do already have a top-30 incoming combo guard in Manny Obaseki but Love is a pure scorer at the shooting guard spot and will be relied upon to provide offense. If freshman point guard Hassan Diarra has a big impact, he, Obaseki and Love would be a lethal, yet young backcourt for the 2021-22 season.

Texas Tech Red Raiders

Love would “love” to have the same kind of impact as another top-30 guard in Jahmi’us Ramsey, who led the team with 15 ppg this past season en route towards a 1st round grade in the upcoming NBA Draft. They have another star coming in Nimari Burnett, along with the returns of Kyler Edwards, Davide Moretti and Terrence Shannon Jr. That doesn’t even include the possibility of No. 1 overall prospect Jonathan Kuminga landing with the program and reclassifying.

With Wichita State guard transfer Jamarius Burton sitting out for another year, the 2021-22 Red Raiders will have a huge logjam on the perimeter. There also are other top-tier recruits in play that Love would have to compete with for playing time. This could be the best option in terms of development but minutes will be heavily fought for.
