Top NCAA Basketball recruiting class in the SEC – Kentucky

Coach John Calipari is one of the most prolific recruiters in college basketball history. If this was an annual list, Kentucky and Calipari both would enjoy seven consecutive top SEC classes.

Cameron Fletcher, a St. Louis native, was the first domino to fall in this loaded class. The 6-6 forward has immense length and athleticism that make an incredible hustle player.

Manning the point next year will be Devin Askew. The would-be Jordan Brand Classic participant checks above average in every box, giving you the balanced defensive and offensive touch the modern game requires.

The lone interior player in the class, Isaiah Jackson. A premier athlete in the class of 2020 with a high motor. Jackson’s physical tools and shot-blocking display potential as he fills out. Just like fellow a Kentucky commit Askew he’d see time at the Jordan Brand Classic.

In mid-November Kentucky lands Terrance Clarke and Brandon Boston both would sign letters of intent six days apart. Boston the 6-6 guard out of Sierra Canyon combines a good feel for the game with 3 level scoring. He needs to add some strength to compete on defense in the NBA, but plus athleticism will help him in Lexington. Boston rose to No. 4 in the 247composite final rankings.

As for Clarke, the shooting guard out of Boston brings major court vision to the wing. A long wiry athlete with the package to guard multiple positions at the highest level. Both qualify as Kentucky’s only McDonald’s All Americans.

The final man in this class, Lance Ware, landed his dream school in July and committed in August. The lefty gives the wildcats finesse on offense and the effort that keeps freshman on the floor on defense. His star is ascending and Kentucky’s big blue platform will put it to use.
